LiveBrandAuction is the monthly auction of the J-Ports group in Hong Kong. Pre-owned designer bags, watches and jewellery, every piece authenticated in-house, sold to resellers and collectors who bid online or in the room. Here is how it works.

Create your bidder account

Sign up with your name, country and email and accept the auction terms. Our team reviews every new bidder, usually within a day, and emails you as soon as you can bid.

Browse the catalogue

Every lot goes online before the sale with photos, grade and a full condition report. Zoom into any photo to check the details for yourself.

Bid online

Bid in one tap or type your own amount. The first bid can be any amount; after that, each bid has to beat the highest one by the increment. Other bidders never see your name.

Follow your bids

My bids shows where you lead and where you have been outbid, with an estimate of your total including the auction fee, shipping and duties.

Auction day

Online bidding closes on the 4th at 9am HK time. Your online bids are taken into the room on your behalf.

Invoice and delivery

After the sale we send your invoice. Once it is paid, we ship your lots with UPS or you collect them in Hong Kong.

Hammer price

Your winning bid, in US dollars.

5% auction fee

Charged on the hammer price, to buyers and to sellers.

Shipping

We ship with UPS in consolidated boxes of 15 to 20 items, about $4 to $6 per item. Collection in Hong Kong is free.

Duties and taxes

Set by the customs of your country, usually 10 to 15% of the value. The estimate in My bids shows a range for your region before you bid.

Join us on auction day, the 5th of every month. Doors open at 9:30 and the sale starts at 10:00, Hong Kong time.

Questions bidders ask

Who can bid?

Resellers and collectors anywhere in the world. You need a bidder account approved by our team. You can browse every lot without one.

Why do I have to be approved?

So every bid on LBA comes from a real, verified buyer. It protects you from fake bids and keeps prices honest. Approval usually takes less than a day.

In which currency do I bid?

All bids and prices are in US dollars.

Is there a starting price or a reserve?

There is no public starting price: the first bid can be any amount from $10. Most lots have a reserve, the minimum price the seller accepts. If bidding does not reach it, the lot may not be sold.

What does the 5% auction fee cover?

It is our commission for running the auction, charged on the hammer price to buyers and to sellers.

How much does shipping cost?

We ship with UPS. Lots travel together in boxes of 15 to 20 items, which brings the cost to about $4 to $6 per item. Collection in Hong Kong is free.

Will I pay import duties?

Duties and taxes are set by the customs of your country and usually range from 10 to 15% of the value. They depend on the item, its value and the destination, and they are paid by the buyer.

Are the items authentic?

Yes. Every lot is checked by the J-Ports authentication team before it is listed, and graded with a written condition report.

What do the grades mean?

SA like new with tags, SA like new, A pristine, AB excellent with light signs of use, B+ very good with visible use, B good with clear wear, and B- heavily used and BC AS IS/Broken/Damaged. The condition report in each lot explains exactly what we found.

Can I cancel a bid?

Bids are binding. If you placed one by mistake, contact us straight away and we will look at it.

How and when do I pay?

After the sale we email your invoice with the payment details. Your lots ship, or are ready to collect, once the invoice is paid.
